Stella’s on 97 Grille and Bar features an American style menu in a cozy dining room. Walking into Stella’s on 97 Grille and Bar, you are greeted with beautiful wood décor, natural lighting and the feeling that they have just stepped into a welcoming place. Look a little further and you will find outdoor dining on our patio or screen porch overlooking beautiful Castlewood golf course.
Since taking ownership of Stella’s a couple years ago, Max Stephens and Billy Lawson have been busy renovating the physical appearance of the restaurant, bar and event center, but they have also made changes to the menu. “While we offer dinner specials everyday and have added many comfortable booths to the dining area, Stella’s especially takes pride in our support of the local community”, says Stephens.
Watch for performances by local musicians including the Forest Lake Area High School Orchestra. If you are looking for more dinner and entertainment events, Masquers Theatre, a local theatre group, will be performing at Stella’s for four weekends in February.
Chef Eugene Stein has been hired to run the kitchen at Stella’s on 97. A strong desire early in his life for hospitality related education began with culinary arts training from MCTC and Le Cordon Bleu / London. He has spent his entire career in the kitchen and has flourished in restaurants across Minnesota including; (Ciatti’s, Axel’s River Grille, The Green Mill, and Champps.
After major renovations, Stella’s Event Center is ready to host your special event or weekly business meeting and can accommodate up to 240 people. “We have hosted anniversaries, surprise birthday parties, reunions, wedding receptions and lots of sports banquets”, says Stephens.
Being located just down the road from Forest Lake Area High School and Century Jr. High School is a great benefit of choosing Stella’s as your destination for school-related events or after a game. “We have the space and choices your group needs”, adds Stephens.
